Here's sketch #2 of my ten-sketch challenge for 
It's loosely based off of one of her original works, "Swim the Pitch-Black Sea" My sketch however, doesn't do her work any justice at all! It's a really sweet pic, and you can see it here. Using another drawing out of a book for reference, I blue-lined it then went back over it with a black prismacolor. You really need to see Vayenne's though to know what it looks like, it kind of has this "alien mermaid" feel to it that is very mysterious and imaginative.

The character is a alien mermaid. The only thing that is missing from yours is the colors and there is a ton of color work in the reference. There is not much unique about the design of the character other than the very different colors applied to it so I think you did a very good job on it. Her pose and musculature are very good expecially the way you draw them with a minimum number of lines.
